Kids Training Dogs Training Kids

It is rather often that pet dogs are bought for children in the house. Often the pet dog is considered to be the child's pet. When this is the case, you have a dual learning opportunity right in front of you.

Let the child do the dog training! This will put the child in more of an "ownership" position with the pet and it can help build the bond between the child and the dog.

So the dog learns the training that she needs, and the dog training experience teaches the child some of the responsibility of dog ownership.

That is a WIN-WIN situation.

A good training system for the "child instructor" is the Puppy and Dog Trainer Online system by Dove Cresswell. This system works like a PowerPoint presentation. Your child can sit in front of the computer screen and get a professional presentation on dog training. And then watch it over and over again and again, as they go through each training lesson. Your child will find learing the training methods to be both interesting and entertaining. Much better than reading a book - which probably isn't going to happen anyway!

You can read a brief review of this system and an expanded review by clicking on the links to my website.

More information on dog training issues can be found on my Dog Obedience Training page.

Have a great day,
Chris
